03/21/2009
Paul Sanford, Republican candidate for the Alabama Senate in the April 21st Republican runoff, today won a straw poll conducted by the Madison County Republican Men’s Club at the club’s monthly meeting. The results were Paul Sanford, 110 votes, Undecided, 33 votes, and Sam Givhan, 25 votes.
“With outside special interest financing, my opponent outspent me almost five to one, but the result of this poll proves that hard work and message can triumph over money,” Mr. Sanford said Saturday. “I am honored that members of the Madison County Republican Men’s Club believe my approach to the issues confronting Alabama is worthy of their support. I will continue to fight for sound fiscal management, ethics reform and transparency in state government throughout this campaign,” he added.
Paul Sanford and his wife Danielle own and operate “little Paul’s Barbecue” in Huntsville. They have two children, Chase and Ryan.
