Candidate Sanford to Serve Recipes for Change at Hampton Cove on February 12th
02/11/2009

Paul Sanford, Republican candidate for the state senate in the March 3rd special election, will host a meet and greet tomorrow night (February 12th) at Interior Marketplace in Hampton Cove from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Mr. Sanford, a restaurant owner in Huntsville, said he will serve dishes from his business to people interested in good government.

"I am offering up recipes for change in Montgomery tomorrow night," said Sanford. "I want to personally serve the people who have given me encouragement and support to run for the Senate. This event will provide an opportunity for voters to share their views and concerns about state government," Sanford added.

Mr. Sanford said he is running to make a difference in the state Legislature. He has called for more transparency in the way the Legislature conducts business and has articulated the need for strengthening ethics laws. He has also said it is imperative to overhaul the state’s budget process to avoid shortfalls in the future.

There will be no charge to attend the event, but Mr. Sanford said, "I’ll be glad to accept any and all legal donations to offset the costs." He said also that he welcomes questions and suggestions from all who attend tomorrow night’s meet and greet.
